There is also a variety of wildlife in the parks forests. The ascent continues to a steel suspension bridge at 2000 meters. The route crosses to the north bank of the Langtang Khola, then climbs alongside a series of waterfalls. The forest is sparser and drier on this side of the river, consisting mainly of scrub oak, as opposed to the damp forest of large pines on the shady southern bank. Climb steeply to a landslide and reach to Rimche (2250 m). There is a trail junction here that connects to a high route back to Syarpa gaon and Sabru village; this was the old trail to Langkath Khola. You have now finished most of the day climbing; descend gently to the settlement of Lama Hotel at 2380m.
