driving 30 minutes from Pokhara, you will reach to the trek
starting point is Birethanti. As you proceed slowly along
the trek upward, the varied characteristics of the nature
and those of the cultures and customs of different ethnic
groups are noticed. On the day you arrive at an altitude
of 2800m. You will have a pleasant feeling for being quite
near to nature. The day after as you get to a place called
Poonhill after walking up a distance of around an hour,
you can not only enjoy a superb panorama of both Annapurna
and Dhaulagiri but also very splendid and magnificent view
of sunrise. Poonhill is one of the most interesting features
of this trekking tour.
The downward return trek becoming different from that of
upwards, foes through one of the big forests of rhododendron
of the world. If it is the month of may the complete forest
becomes a mixture of white and red blossoms of rhododendron.

to Kathmandu & transfer to the Hotel |

Kathmandu sightseeing

We will be visiting three of the famous heritage
sites in Kathmandu. You will visit first the
Swayambunath Stupa (Monkey Temple). It is said
that Swayambunath Stupa is more than 2,000 years
old, and it symbolizes knowledge. The painted
eyes on all four sides symbolize the all-seeing
power of Buddha. It is an important Buddhist
place where pilgrims from all over the world
come. It is situated to the west of the city
on a hill some 77 meters above the valley.
It is a 30 minutes drive to Boudhanath Stupa,
another important Buddhist pilgrims site. This
ancient Stupa is considered one of the biggest
in the World. Every morning and evening, many
Buddhist devotees come here to pray and circumambulate
enabling the visitors to observe local religious
practices.
The sacred Hindu temple Pashupatinath is considered
the holiest cremation ground, and people bathe
in the Bagmati River with a faith of cleansing
themselves spiritually. Many Sadhus or Hindu
Ascetics live here. During religious festivals,
Hindus come to make offerings, and it is sometimes
very crowded.

By bus to
Pokhara. Bus drive will take approximately 8hours.

Pokhara
to Tirkhedhunga(1577m)
After breakfast take a bus ride to Nyapul(trek
starting point) for one hour than trek to Birethanty
for 30minates where trekking permit and national
park permit will be checked. The trail continues
along the Bhurungdi Khola pasing through small
villages and water fall you will reach a small
village called Tirkhedhunga. Where you will spend
a night. |
Day-05:

Tirkhedhunga
to Ghorepani(2800m)
After crossing the suspension bridge over the
Bhurungdi Khola, you will have to start a steep
ascent to Ulleri( 2073m)using a continues stone
steps. This is the hardest ascent in this course.
From Ulleri trail continues gradually uphill through
small village and Rhododendron forest you will
be in Ghorepani. |

Ghorepani/
Poon hill to Tadapani
Early in the morning climb uphill for one hour
to reach poonhill(3110m) for sunrise tour and
wider view of mountain. in infront , you will
see the imposing Dhaulagiri accompanied by Tukuche
Peak, Annapurna south, and a Hiumchuli. To reach
to Tadapani , climb through Rhododendron forest
opposite side of Poonhill. Which will take about
5hrs. |

Tadapani
to Ghandruk village
Trail continues down hill through forest for 4hours
to reaching Ghandruk village. This is the village
of Gurungs, where the path of annapurna sanctuary
branches off. |
Day-08:

Ghandruk/
Nyapul to Pokhara
Walking down hill through stone path for one hour
and haif hour you will reach to Modi khola. From
here trail continues through bank of river to
reach to Nyapul. From where bus will bring you
to Pokhara |

Sightseeing
in Bhaktapur City
Bhaktapur, situated at an altitude of 1401 meters,
is a home of medieval art and architecture. The
urban city covers an area of 4 square miles. Shaped
like a conch shell, Bhaktapur means "the city
of devotees". Pottery and weaving are its traditional
industries. The city lies about 14 kilometers
east of Kathmandu
This is an extra day in case of delays due to
flight, weather, landslide etc. The rest of the
day is for you to explore the streets of inner
Kathmandu. Enjoy our cultural programs in the
evenings and dine at one of the excellent restaurants.
