TREK RATING – Moderate
DURATION – 11 nights / 12 days
SEASON – March, April, May, June,
September, October & November.
Highlights: This is basically a botanical trek.
Spring is arguably the most beautiful time of the year. At the
height of spring which is end of March, the whole valley comes
to life with flaming red, pink and white rhododendron blossom.
In the monsoons different varieties of mushroom can be found along
the trail including the Sangay (mustakhay) mushroom which is exported
to Japan. The route takes you through Yak herders’ camps,
villages, monasteries and countless lakes. The snowcapped peaks
can be best viewed in winter.
