Highlights: This is one of the treks that will always rank as one of Bhutan’s finest treks. The route offers fantastic mountain views at close range including Mt. Gangchey Ta (tiger mountain), mother of the female river flowing through Punakha valley. Renowned for its diversity in Himalayan flora and fauna. Numerous isolated dzongs and scattered settlements including the outlandish village of Laya, a unique culture of its own provide a great deal of cultural interest. Though remote, the Laya region is known for its hospitality and your time here will be delightful. The trek will end with a dip at the Gasa Tshachu (hot spring) relaxing every bone in your body and the memories of the special trek will stay with you for a lifetime.

Itinerary

01	Arrive Paro. Transfer to Kichu Resort alt. 2200 m.
02	Paro sightseeing. O/n Kichu Resort.
03	Trek starts:- Drugyal Dzong – Shana 16 kms /6 hrs. Camp at alt. 2800 m.
04	Shana – Soi Thangthangkha 24 kms 8/9 hrs. Camp at alt. 3800 m.
05	Soi Thangthangkha – Jangothang 12 kms 4/5 hrs. Camp at alt. 4050 m.
06	Jangothang – Lingshi 18 kms 7/8 hrs. Climb over Nyele la pass alt. 4700m. Camp at alt. 4100 m
07	Lingshi – Chebisa 14 kms 4/5 hrs. Camp at alt. 3900 m
08	Chebisa – Shomuthang 16 kms 7/8 hrs. Climb over Gubu la pass alt.4600 m. Camp at alt. 4250 m.
09	Shomuthang – Robluthang 18 kms. 8/9 hrs walk. Climb over Jari la pass alt. 4650 m. Camp at alt. 4300 m.
10	Robluthang – Limithang 16 kms. 8/9 hrs. Climb over Shinje la pass at alt. 4950 m. Camp at alt. 4100 m.
11	Limithang – Laya 13 kms. 5/6 hrs. Camp at alt. 3850 m
12	Laya halt. Explore the Laya village.
13	Laya – Koina 18 kms. 6/7 hrs. Camp at alt. 3500 m
14	Koina – Gasa hot spring 19 kms. 7/8 hrs walk. Camp at alt. 2200 m
15	Rest day at Gasa hot spring.
16	Gasa – Goen Damji 18 kns. 6/7 hrs. Camp alt. 2000 m.
17	Goen Damji – Tashithang 15 kms. 5/6 hrs. Trek ends where ITT coach will drive you to Kichu Wangdi resort.
18	Wangdiphodrang sightseeing & drive to Thimphu (70 kms). O/n
19	Thimphu sightseeing. O/n Paro Kichu Resort.
